Thank you to everyone who came to run, despite the somewhat challenging conditions! We hope you had a great race, and have enjoyed a hot bath and a well earned pint! Thank you for putting up with the wet weather parking arrangements on Skelding road – I hope the delayed start did not inconvenience  any one too much.

Congratulations to the winners, with Jack Simpson’s winning time up there with the dry weather times! Congratulations to Harrogate Men’s team and Wetherby Ladies for their respective wins. Most importantly, well done to everyone that completed the course!

The 14th annual Fountains 10K Race will be held on Sunday 29th April 2012 and we are delighted to retain the honour of being the first race in the 2012 ‘Yorkshire Dales Race Series’ (formerly the Black Sheep Race Series). The day is once again being organised by The Friends of Fountains School in association with Ripon Runners.

A warm welcome and a great atmosphere are guaranteed, so why not get involved and join in the fun? Both men and women aged 16 and over are welcome to take part, from novice 10km runners to seasoned athletes.

This mixed terrain route may not be the fastest or flattest but with an impressive 97%* of runners saying that they would do it again, we are sure you will enjoy it too.

The 10km race is centered around the village of Grantley, near Ripon, and is run over a one-lap course on public roads and across scenic moorland within Nidderdale, an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.
